Mintscan now features an Interchain Dashboard

Mintscan.io’s landing page is now a brand new Interchain dashboard — search, sort, and explore!

Mintscan has gone one step further and is now live with the brand-new Interchain dashboard as a landing page. With a sophisticated user interface, Mintscan will offer a much more thorough and understandable overview of the Cosmos Interchain ecosystem.

1/ Search

First things first, Mintscan is fundamentally a blockchain explorer. The universal search bar can be used to look up anything, from networks to transactions. Now, as many of you already know, this has the great feature of not requiring you to switch networks each time you conduct a chain-based search, which is why it is referred to as a “universal” search bar.

2/ Sort

When the dashboard first loads, networks are listed alphabetically, with Cosmos Network at the top as an exception. Mintscan chose a few of the most well-liked statistics to be displayed on the dashboard, including price (obviously), APY, bonded ratio, and the total number of transactions; you can also sort/arrange the chains by each category. Enjoy sorting the data by 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month!

3/ Proposals

On occasion, the deluge of governance proposals can be overwhelming. You can sort the proposals by each chain on the dashboard in addition to viewing all live proposals arranged in chronological order. Vote to expand your network!

4/ Non-dark mode

You can also switch between light and dark modes. Try it for yourself!

5/ The Interchain Explorer

For the ecosystem, Mintscan has always been the go-to block explorer. There was still a global search bar on the dashboard, but some of you might be wondering what happened to the “original” Mintscan page. No need to worry; mintscan still have all of the individual pages for each network. Simply click on the networks on the dashboard to go to the original explorer page, or select your preferred network from the “Explorer” icon in the top right.

What is IBC?

IBC stands for inter-blockchain communication (BC), which enables the communication between various sovereign blockchains. It is created in the shape of a module and aids in the transfer of coins between various sovereign blockchains.

1/ IBC Networks

When you visit the tab IBC network, it shows the number of IBC transactions going in and out of the chains.

When a chain is selected, information such as total send/receive transactions, connections, and transaction history that has been processed within the chain will be displayed.

Click ‘Show all Sends’ to see all IBC connections from the current chain to the other chain. Then it will show you all the chains that have outbound connections from the one you selected. Because the list is sorted by the number of transactions processed in a month, users can determine which chain has the most active transactions.

2/ Ecosystem

Users can access the ecosystem page by clicking on the ‘Ecosystem’ tab at the top left of hub.mintscan.io. This page allows users to view chain and validator properties such as voting power and the ratio of the total staked amount.

You can choose between ‘Chains’ and ‘Validators’ in the top right corner. When you click chains, you can see all of the chains and their staked amounts.

a/ Chains

When a chain is clicked, important chain properties such as price, inflation, and unbonding time are displayed. It will also show the rank of validators based on voting power.

Additionally, if you click the validator on the rank, a list of chains in which the selected validator is participating as a validator will be displayed.

b/ Validators

When you select validators from the tab, the validator rank based on the staked amount will be displayed. This displays the total amount staked on all cosmos-based chains.

3/ Dev Activity

Provides weekly commits, code frequency, and contributor data from each chain’s GitHub public repository.
